You look at me but you don’t see me.You hear me but you don’t listen.

Silence is my loudest cry

You’re with me in the dark

Your burden weighs me down, knocking me to the ground.

I’m drifting slowly

Relentlessly searching for release

Trapped inside my reality and your fantasy

I wait patiently to take back control

To take back what was mine

After all this time.. my body, my home was for rent.

I didn’t know what it meant, the time spent searching for what wasn’t even there to begin with.

I’ve put an end to it.
