NO MEANS NO
YA’ HOE

It’s 2018, don’t be that person.

NO MEANS NO YA' HOE

According to the dictionary the definition of CONSENT is the permission for something to happen or an agreement to do something.

Humans;
we pride ourselves with being the higher intellectual apex predators. So if this concept of consent is too hard for you to grasp, then what does that say about you specifically?

NO MEANS NO YA' HOE2

HERE ARE SOME
MEMORY REFRESHERS.
DO NOT BE A RAPIST

NO MEANS NO YA' HOE3

The “What was she wearing” Movement.

For every strong survivor there are a handful of sadistic bigots on a mission to dispel their story:

“Are you sure she didn’t want it?”
“Why was she there at that time? What did she expect?”
“She definitely lead him on”
“Why didn’t she shout?”
“But what she a virgin?”
“Boys can’t get raped”

These statements fuel RAPE CULTURE and people who propagate them are just as guilty as the rapists.

RAPE CULTURE:
a sociological concept or setting where rape is normalized or disarmed due to attitudes towards sexuality & gender.

Survivors could go through DOUBLE the trauma due to such reckless and toxic statements that victim blame or shame.

Give them a break !

Some survivors are already in a negative loop; thinking they deserved the abuse. This makes them less likely to speak up allowing the rapists to run free. Members of the “What was she/he wearing” movement literally contribute to an UN-safe
society.

If you come in contact with the group members, here are some talking points:

• 80% of sexual assaults are perpetrated by someone the survivor knows; people who have
earned trust and occupy spaces that are supposed to be safe:

*coughs*…

the Vatican

NO MEANS NO YA' HOE7

• One in 10 rape victims in the U.S are men. Men are assaulted too; what would they call “asking for it” male attire?

• What if it was your child?

NO MEANS NO YA' HOE8

(P.S: Do not expect a
groundbreaking revelation
because remember, they
perpetuate the toxic
cycle).

Intoxicated people C A N N O T g i v e consent.

Yes to Alcohol does NOT mean Yes to Sex

If you ever planned to get someone “loosened up” with the use of mind altering drugs before embarking in any sexual activity you are a part of the problem;

a RAPIST perpetuating rape culture.

An individual that is currently obviously impaired –benchmark: if they can’t handle any heavy machinery aka driveCANNOT give consent.

Drunk rape culture is prominent in universities or colleges. And both genders participate in this
dangerous dance.

Guys. Getting ready, buying bottles.

Hoping to pick a girl that’s just sloppy drunk enough to make for a fun guys-night bragging session.

Hello, Good ol’ boys club!

And the girls. Downing those cheap Tequila shots. Trying to get shit-faced, just enough to tolerate the horrible club music

which is already only tolerable at best on a good day when sober.

Hoping to catch the glance of a cute guy, on the dance floor, at the right time when most inhibitions are down and the liquor confidence is up.

Sounds so familiar right?

But look here

Imagine a society with open access to every question involving and surrounding sex
education?

A society where we didn’t pretend the female libido was obsolete and shame women for daring to have one.

A society where the salvation of mankind didn’t ride on what women – and gay men– choose to do with their privates.
And No, Uncle Femi.

The world is not becoming wayward because women are
expressing themselves through articles of clothing.

The world has been wayward.

We create the society we imagine.

It is always ONLY the rapist’s fault

“But people weaponize rape”

That’s true and fuck those people
but here are some stats for your ass

1. Only 2- 10 % of rape allegations are false. 90-98% are true

– BEFORE you assume read up on probability.

2. Only 6 out of every 1000 rapist would be incarcerated.

3. 82% of prosecuted rape cases go without a conviction.

Yes, the rapists go free.

4. Up to 91.6% of rape cases go unreported.
Hmmm,
can’t imagine why.

NO MEANS NO YA' HOE105. 91% of the victims of rape and sexual assault are female, 9% are male.

6. One in 10 girls worldwide have experienced forced sex or other forced sexual acts in their lifetime.

So before you formulate a thought.
Stop.
THINK;
am I contributing to the progression or safety of the society I live in?

Think so?

Fact check!
Remember,

Google is your friend.

And on the –not so– off chance that you can’t google?
Speak to your more informed friend.

Are you the smarter friend. But you don’t have the answers?
Simply DON’T speak silence is GOLDEN.

Okay but seriously,

it’s 2018 and we are no longer accepting excuses, get in-formation!

NO MEANS NO YA' HOE12
